§ 04 — SCIENCE

Hexarelin has been extensively studied in animal models for cardiovascular protection, demonstrating reduced atherosclerotic plaque formation, attenuation of abdominal aortic aneurysm, and protection against ischemia-reperfusion injury in kidney and lung models. It enhances autophagy and reduces apoptosis in cardiomyocytes subjected to angiotensin-II-induced hypertrophy. Evidence for human efficacy is limited, with most data coming from rodent and in vitro studies. Growth hormone-releasing effects are well established, but long-term safety data in humans is lacking. The compound remains unapproved for clinical use and is primarily sold as a research chemical.
