§ 04 — SCIENCE

Andarine completed Phase II clinical trials for muscle-wasting conditions but was never approved for human use. Preclinical studies demonstrate anabolic effects on muscle and bone with reduced androgenic activity in reproductive tissues. A 2023 in vitro study showed anti-carcinogenic effects on pancreatic cancer cells via cell-cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase. Multiple doping control studies have confirmed its detection in urine, serum, and hair, and it has been found in black-market products sold online. Long-term safety data are lacking, and serious adverse effects including liver injury and visual disturbances have been reported anecdotally.
